Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, people should be properly armed with knowledge. Everything is happening so fast in the world ever since the virus was discovered. To be updated of the current happenings is one of the important things right now. People who are working from home or whose businesses are affected by the pandemic must know the status so that they can plan ahead. In, we aim to give the necessary information to people by creating a corona live map. Below are a few facts about the COVID-10 virus.

COVID-19 Transmission

The virus is primarily transmitted through person-to-person contact. It can enter through our mouths, noses, and eyes and will then infect our lungs making it difficult to breathe. This is why social distancing is one of the keys to preventing the virus from further spreading. It is important to keep your hands clean at all times by washing them for 20 seconds or using alcohol. Social distancing is also one of the most effective ways of slowing down the transmission rate of the virus.

WHO Declares COVID-19 a Pandemic

A pandemic virus means that it infects a lot of people in a very small amount of time. Because of this, it is everyone's duty to make sure that they won't be infected by the virus. While the virus originated in China, it quickly spread in Italy causing the country to take drastic measures to prevent more deaths. The virus also spread in the USA which has now the most number of cases in the whole world.

Asymptomatic Patients

There are people that are infected by the virus but will not show any symptoms. These patients are what they call asymptomatic patients. Even though they are not showing symptoms and are not at risk, they can still pass the symptoms to other people. Unless you have tested negative in the COVID-19 test, you cannot be sure that you are not a carrier of the virus.

Flattening the Curve
In almost all countries around the world, there is only a limited number of health workers and supplies to help a patient suffering from severe symptoms or side effects of the virus. Once a medical facility reaches the maximum, other patients will not be able to get the care they need, which may result in death. This is why it is everyone's duty to flatten the curve or slow down the transmission so that fewer people will be infected. If the curve is successfully flattened, there will be enough health workers and medical facilities to ensure recovery.

Live Updates
Here are, we have taken the initiative to offer critical information such as the number of cases, deaths, and recovery from the COVID-19 virus. We created a corona live map that is continuously updated. We also have a separate section that counts per country so you can check out the status of your country. You can view the list from the country with the most confirmed COVID-19 case to the least. With this knowledge, you will be armed with necessary information to prepare for the future.
